In diesem Fotoworkshop wollen wir mit jungen Menschen mit Migrations- und Fluchtgeschichte die Stadt erkunden – nämlich so wie ihr sie erlebt. Welche Orte sind wichtig für euch in München? Sind es Orte die, an denen ihr gerne seid? Oder Orte, die ihr nicht gut findet, aber wo ihr hinmüsst? Was sind eure Geheimtipps, die ihr entdeckt habt? Wo habt ihr am meisten Zeit verbracht?

This workshop focuses on exploring the city of Munich with young migrants and refugees. We want to see it the way you experience it. Which places are important to you in Munich? Do you like spending time there? Or are there places, that you don´t like, but where you have to go? What are the hidden spots, that you discovered yourself? Where have you spent the most time? Wir arbeiten mit Fotografie – wir gehen gemeinsam an die Orte, fotografieren sie und schärfen so den Blick. Wir erzählen uns gegenseitig Geschichten von diesen Orten und sammeln sie. Was verändert sich, wenn man durch die Kamera guckt? Wie sehen die Orte auf dem Bild aus? Können unangenehme Orte schön sein? Natürlich bekommt ihr auch die Ergebnisse eurer Arbeit.

Das Angebot ist offen, aber wir freuen uns, wenn ihr immer wieder kommt. Wir möchten gerne irgendwann eine Stadttour mit euren Orten und Geschichten machen, die ihr anleitet. Aber vielleicht wird es auch was ganz anderes.

Picture this! – Show us Your City!

This workshop focuses on exploring the city of Munich with young migrants and refugees. We want to see it the way you experience it. Which places are important to you in Munich? Do you like spending time there? Or are there places, that you don´t like, but where you have to go? What are the hidden spots, that you discovered yourself? Where have you spent the most time?

Whilst exploring we will work with photography. Together we will go to the places you want to show and take pictures of them. In doing so we will sharpen our gaze. What changes when you look at those places through the lense of a camera? How do they look on pictures? Can challenging places be beautiful? We will tell each other stories about those places and will collect the images and stories.

Of course you will get the results of your hard work to take with you!

The workshop is a drop-in format but we would love to see you again! Our goal is to have at some point a guided tour to your places with your stories – with you as guides! But we will see, if that is also your interest! We are looking forward to the process anyway.

Whom are we looking for?

You are in Munich since a few months or years? Great!

You want to take pictures? You have some free time in the evenings or on the weekends to attend the workshop? Perfect!

You want to show other people your favorite spots in Munich? Fantastic!

Then you are who we are looking for as participants in our workshop: “Picture this – Show us your city!”

Further dates will be discussed together with all participants

Food and drink will of course be there as well as any materials for photography. You don´t need to bring anything, just yourself and your ideas!
